Large-scale Moscow's Attacks Disrupt Power In Ukraine's Capital

Energy infrastructure targeted in the region
The country's power facilities have come under escalating attacks in the past few days

Throughout the evening, Moscow's aerial assaults have caused blackouts in extensive areas of the capital city, Kyiv.

Several individuals were hurt while inhabitants in eastern districts were left without electricity and dealt with problems to water supplies, according to municipal leaders.

At the same time, a minor was killed in a separate Russian drone strike in the Zaporizhzhia region in the country's south-east, as reported by regional authorities.

Moscow has escalated attacks on power infrastructure over recent weeks, while officials has requested "real steps" from partner nations to apply pressure on Russia.

"The necessity is not symbolic gestures but decisive action - from the United States, Europe and the G7 - in supplying defensive weapons and enforcing restrictions," mentioned in a public message.

Officials stated that hundreds of unmanned aircraft and more than 30 rockets targeted energy facilities, describing such strikes as "cynical and calculated" and against "essential services" as temperatures become colder.

The energy minister said Russia was "inflicting a massive strike" and technical staff were striving to restore power.

A wave of strikes damaged power facilities and residential structures in Kyiv.

Five out of the nine people injured in the attacks on the capital have been taken to hospital, per statements from municipal representatives.

Local officials said the city experienced heavy assaults throughout the evening. A seven-year-old child lost their life and three other people were hurt.

The strikes succeed nights of aerial attacks in the region, parts of which are occupied by invading troops.

All of Ukraine is under warning for sophisticated projectile assaults, which are tougher to spot.

Government officials told the media that Russia was purposely seeking to damage the electrical infrastructure, with strikes already affecting energy systems.

He said utility staff and government agencies were preparing for further attacks.
