Nineteen of Daniil Medvedev's twenty-one victories have been achieved on hard courts
A comeback the Russian player secured his initial title for over two years with a win over Frenchman Moutet in the Almaty Open title decider.
The Russian, a ex- number one, has endured a difficult period, achieving just one win at the big events and experiencing a setback at the New York tournament.
Medvedev's varied form on the tennis tour - and struggles with his serving in especial - resulted in him exiting of the world's top 10 and ultimately parting ways with long-time trainer Cervara.
Presently working with Johansson and Goetzke, the tennis star has gradually improved in the recent weeks - peaking in a closely contested 7-5 4-6 6-3 win over Frenchman Corentin Moutet.
This marks his maiden trophy after the 2023 Rome Masters and initial on a hard court from that period of 2023.
The win also indicates the Russian has secured 21 championships at twenty-one distinct competitions.
"This marks the first occasion I am participating in a tournament with my two daughters together, so to secure a trophy is particularly special," said tennis professional Daniil Medvedev.
"This title is in honour of my second daughter her name, because the first title I got when my first daughter my daughter was delivered was for her."
The athlete, the past champion, had lost his previous six title deciders, including in Halle earlier this year.
His counter-punching play style and frequent outbursts on the tennis court had prompted observers to doubt if his skill to compete at the highest level was over.
However the athlete has made changes in the last few weeks, striving to advance forward and perform positively, reinforced by an enhanced service.
Medvedev came back from a disadvantage in the initial set against the difficult Moutet, winning four of the last five points to take the lead.
The pair traded breaks in the following set before the Frenchman, striving for his first tour title, gained dominance to push for a decider.
Moutet saved four initial break points in a competitive third set before the champion broke to that score to close out the victory.
Appropriately, Medvedev clinched the win with a rally at the front of the court, with Moutet failing to manage a return after a lengthy match.
