The Popular Show Campaign 4 Unveils the Fighters Party

From the very beginning of Campaign 4, new Dungeon Master Brennan Mulligan has kept viewers on edge with deep backstory, a diverse cast of personalities, and a thrilling plot including angels, fiends, and malevolent powers increasing in influence within the city.

Warning: Spoilers for the latest installment of Campaign 4 follow below.

The Soldiers Table Introduced

Episode 3 ended with a major cliffhanger and presented the first table of characters who will branch out from the primary party to embark on their separate journey, separate from the remaining groups.

This warrior group consists of Teor Pridesire (brought to life by Travis Willingham), the agile character (Laura Bailey), the strong-willed figure (Whitney Moore), the cleric (Sam Riegel), and Kattigan Vale (Robbie).

Why Split the Party?

Considering a large ensemble, it was evident from the outset that keeping everyone at a single group would be impossible.

That’s why, the opening chapters of Campaign 4 serve as an Introduction, weaving together the characters’ stories before splitting into three separate parties: Fighters, Planners, and Explorers.

The Nature of the Warrior Group

As described by the Dungeon Master, the combat-focused party is for players who enjoy a traditionally charged battle-oriented narrative style where non-violent answers are scarce.

At first glance, figures such as the reluctant priest Wicander might look out of place, but the actions of the latest installment show why these particular heroes are perfectly fit for the Soldiers table.

Why They Must Go

First, the group knows exactly where to go next after a violent opening clash with the enemy group.

A former ally of Thjazi—whose demise started the narrative’s action—exploited The Crow Keepers for his personal gain, breaking into the secret base, striking the rogue, and stealing all the magical artifacts to dispose of.

Casimir then paid off his debts and fled to a fortified location in the remote area, above Dol-Makjar, with Teor’s brother pursuing him.

Personal Motivations

Moreover, each character has a personal reason to depart Dol-Makjar:

  • The agile hero, as Thjazi’s partner and closest confidant, wants retribution.
  • The adventurer is familiar with the northern area and cautions that it is a hostile environment.
  • Tyranny and The healer, having disobeyed his house’s orders to kill Teor and instead rescued him, have nowhere else to go.
  • But, their reputation as key figures in the influential clan could assist the team enter areas they typically wouldn’t be able to.
  • Additionally, Teor pledged a life debt to The cleric for his rescue and will now accompany him wherever.

Fugitives

In addition, all of them are hunted by the rulers that govern the city for a multiple motives, making remaining behind no longer safe:

  • The rogue and The hero are recognized lawbreakers.
  • The strong figure and The healer defied House Halovar and the legion of demons they are allied with.
  • Teor is marked for death by House Halovar.

This means them little choice but to head to the remote area in quest for the antagonist.

Upcoming Developments

Based on episode three’s post-show segment, we discover that the combat party won’t be around in the upcoming installment, leaving the rest of the participants to assemble the Explorers and Strategists tables.

Audiences can expect learning which players will be assigned to which table in Campaign 4’s last Overture episode, released on October 24.
